5 Days Lake Malawi Adventure Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival
Arrive in Lilongwe international airport, meet and great with our driver who will then drive you to the downtown Lilongwe for relaxation and overnight Korea Garden Lodge.
Day 2: Transfer to Lake Malawi
After enjoying breakfast at the lodge, we will embark on a 4 to 5 hours drive journey through varied landscapes to Cape Maclear the shore of Lake Malawi. Check in your chosen lake side accommodation where you will be greeted by the gentle lapping of waves against the shore and the warm hospitality of the local staff.
The first day is all about settling in. Unpack, take a leisurely stroll along the beach, and allow the peaceful atmosphere to wash over you. As the sun sets, casting a golden glow over the water, enjoy a welcome dinner under the stars. The flavors of local cuisine, from chambo fish to nsima, tantalize the taste buds, providing a delightful end to the day.
Day 3: Exploring the Aquatic Wonderland
Lake Malawi, also known as the “Lake of Stars,” is famed for its biodiversity, particularly its colorful cichlid fish. Day two begins with a snorkeling excursion, where you can witness the vibrant underwater life up close. The museum artifacts are for the three tribes the Yao, Ngoni and Chewa who surrounding the mission. Enjoy the Chewa traditional dance.
Arrive Lilongwe in the afternoon and drop off at the hotel or airport for onward flight back home or to other destinations.
